I really started running in grad school when I was foolish enough to succumb to peer pressure and run the Marine Corps Marathon with my fellow lab rats / classmates. Not surprising to other runners out there, it wasn’t long before I got addicted to all those endorphins — running just makes me feel better- keeps me on balance physically and mentally, and I enjoy the camaraderie of all the friends I have run with over the years. I’m probably not going to break any world records (in this lifetime), but that’s the great part about running – you just go out and try to run against yourself and work toward your own goals- at your own pace.
